Call for a Trainer for ”Futurescape: Pioneering Peace Visionaries”

MIJARC Europe is looking for a trainer for the international simulation ”Futurescape: Pioneering Peace Visionaries”.  The simulation is the 3rd activity of an annual work plan implemented by MIJARC Europe in 2025, with the financial support of the Council of Europe through the European Youth Foundation.

”Futurescape: Pioneering Peace Visionaries” is an unconventional international simulation exercise. The final phase of the work plan focuses on envisioning and strategising for a peaceful future, drawing upon the insights and skills gained throughout the preceding activities. Participants will embark on a transformative journey to imagine a future of peace and unity in Europe. Incorporating elements of gamification and storytelling techniques, this simulation will immerse participants in a futuristic scenario where they collaborate to strategise for peacebuilding. Through this exercise, participants will gain insights into the complexities of peacebuilding efforts and develop innovative solutions to address emerging challenges identified in the Position Paper, the outcome of the 2nd activity. As a result, a new set of digital cards (the 1st activity of the work plan, which is available on www.mijarc-europe.org) will be created for the social media campaign, showcasing participants' unique experiences and visions for the future. This activity will help to complete the workplan by educating the network members not only to analyse the ongoing situation and come up with a concrete and strong position, but also the ability to think creatively and critically and analyse how the ongoing problems can be solved. As a follow-up activity, the participants will create a digital Magazine, which will include information on the work plan and its donors, about the position of the organisation on the topic together with the main insights of the work plan. In this way we will encourage them to share their experiences and action plans with their communities, inspiring others to join in the efforts towards building a more peaceful and inclusive society. Throughout the design and implementation of all activities, a commitment to gender inclusivity will be upheld, ensuring equal participation and representation.

The objectives of the simulation will be:

  • Envision peace: Through the simulation exercise, encourage participants to envision and articulate a future of peace and unity in Europe, with each participant contributing at least one innovative idea or solution.

  • Foster collaboration: Facilitate collaborative problem-solving and teamwork among participants, ensuring that each participant actively engages in the simulation and contributes to group discussions.

  • Create digital cards: Develop a new set of digital cards based on the insights and ideas generated during the simulation, aiming to inspire and engage a wider audience in discussions on peacebuilding and future scenarios.

  • Promote active citizenship: Empower participants to become active agents of change within their communities, committing to implementing at least one peacebuilding initiative inspired by the simulation exercise within the next six months.
