You won't just learn about food systems - you'll design your own workshop, craft your message, and then deliver it to hundreds of young people at a major European festival. This is advocacy in action.

Training Programme at a Glance
The 3-day School of Influencers is built on non-formal education methods - no boring lectures, just hands-on learning, peer exchange, and real-world skills.
- Understanding the System
Map the food system from production to waste. Explore power dynamics, inequalities, and the role of rural youth. Bring your local reality into the global picture.
- Amplify Your Voice
Discover the art of storytelling for impact, strategic communication, and social media campaigning. Create content that moves people and draft your first ideas for the festival.
-Take the Stage
Finalise and simulate your workshop in front of peers. Receive feedback, refine, and get fully ready to deliver at the Bundestreffen. By the end of the day, you're festival-ready.
At the KLJB Bundestreffen "Ackerschnack"
The Ackerschnack (Aug 6–9, Vrees) is a 3-day gathering of over 850 young people from rural communities across Germany and international guests. It's loud, lively, and deeply connected to the topics we care about: sustainable agriculture, rural life, and the future of food.
As School of Influencers participants, you will have a dedicated slot to run your workshop and a MIJARC stand at the festival - your platform to share what you've learned, gather voices, and inspire action. You join the festival as advocates, not just attendees.
Alongside this, you'll enjoy the full festival programme: workshops, excursions, live music, and a community of rural youth that stretches across Europe.
Who Can Apply?
We're looking for motivated young people who care about food, rural communities, and making change happen. You don't need to be an expert - just curious, committed, and ready to get involved.
