Become a MIJARC Influencer

Open call - join the Pool of Influencers

Young people in rural Europe have plenty to say. The problem is rarely the message; it is being heard.

The School of Influencers is where we fix that. Over two to three intensive days, you learn how to build a message that travels - storytelling, content creation, campaigning, and how to make yourself heard by the people who make decisions. Then you go home and use it.

We are now building our Pool of Influencers: a group of young people from across Europe ready to take part in these activities as they happen, between late August 2026 and February 2027.

WHAT IS THE SCHOOL OF INFLUENCERS?

A short, hands-on training - not a conference where you sit and listen.

Each edition runs for two to three days and brings together young people from different countries. Depending on the edition, you can expect:

  • Storytelling and content creation - how to turn what matters to you into something people actually watch, read and share

  • Social media that works - building an audience, not just posting into the void

  • Campaigning and advocacy - from a good idea to a change someone in power notices

  • Meeting people who do this for a living - journalists, campaigners, content creators, policymakers

  • Working with young people from across Europe - which is usually the part people remember longest

Every edition is hosted in a different European country, so the themes, the setting and the group change each time.

HOW THE POOL WORKS

This is the part worth reading carefully, because it is different from a normal open call.

You are not applying for one specific activity. You are applying to join a pool.

  1. You apply once. Tell us who you are, what interests you and roughly when you tend to be available.

  2. We announce each activity to the pool. When an edition is confirmed - country, dates, theme - everyone in the pool hears about it.

  3. You say whether that one works for you. No obligation. If the dates clash with exams, work or harvest, you simply say so and wait for the next one.

  4. We confirm the group for that edition and send you everything you need.

One application, several chances to take part. You are never locked into anything by joining.

WHEN & WHERE

Period: Late August 2026 – February 2027

Length: 2–3 days per activity

Where: Different European countries - announced with each edition

How often: Several editions across the period

Working language: English

Dates and locations are confirmed one edition at a time and shared with the pool first.

WHO CAN APPLY

To join the pool you need to be:

  • A citizen of an EU Member State

  • At least 18 years old at the time of the activity

  • Able to take part in English

  • Genuinely interested in food, farming, climate justice, campaigning - or all of it

No prior experience is required. You do not need to be an influencer already, and you do not need a following. You do not need to be a farmer or an agronomist either. Curiosity and willingness to have a go count for a lot more.

You do not need to be a member of a MIJARC member organisation - external applicants are welcome, at a slightly higher participation fee.

WHAT IS COVERED

PARTICIPATION FEE

Members of MIJARC member organisations - €50

External participants - €70

How to pay nothing at all

The fee is fully waived if you take on the influencer part of the job.

Publish 5 posts about the PROJECT AND RELATED TOPICS on your own social media - before, during or after (within 21 days) - about what you are learning and why the food system needs to change. Do that, and the participation fee does not apply.

That is the whole point of the School of Influencers. Reboot invests in you; you help carry the message further than we could on our own. Call out the practices. Call on the politicians. That is the deal.

You choose whether to take the waiver when you apply, and we agree the details with you before the activity.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications for the pool are open on a rolling basis - there is no single deadline. The pool stays open while the activities run.

A word of advice: apply early. Members of the pool hear about each edition first and get first choice of dates. The earlier you join, the more editions you can choose from.
